When did you first realize you wanted to pursue creating a handbag collection?

My dad, Kent, was driving with me back to the University of Florida for my junior year of college and I was talking about the new clear bag policy and how I wished there was a stylish option. After that, we decided to start Clarity Handbags together!

"I define fashion as trends in clothing that inspire people's personal style."

What was the biggest rookie mistake you made when just starting out?

When we first started out we did not know how to work anything from shipping to marketing. We have learned everything along the way.

How do you define fashion?

I define fashion as trends in clothing that inspire people's personal style.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is generally pretty classic but I love following the trends.

"We are passionate about giving back. Clarity Handbags recently partnered with Water.org, an organization that provides funding for sanitary water solutions for people in need across the globe. "

What was your biggest fear when going out and starting your own line?

Our biggest fear was that we wouldn't sell any bags!

Are you passionate about something other than fashion?

We are passionate about giving back. Clarity Handbags recently partnered with Water.org, an organization that provides funding for sanitary water solutions for people in need across the globe.

What role do you think social media plays in fashion today?

I think social media serves as a source of inspiration for many. We can see what styles are being worn on runways, celebrities and bloggers, all on our cell phones.
